ABOUT ME

Just before graduating from high school, I had an experience that changed the course of my life. The experience caused me to reflect on the reason(s) why people go to great lengths to hide the truth not only from others but also from themselves. As a result, I changed my lifelong desire to be an engineer and studied psychology. Over fifty years later, I'm still learning and enjoying helping people and communities in their quest to be better through counseling, consulting, group facilitation, and training. I have an undergraduate degree in psychology,  and graduate degrees in Counseling (M.Ed.), Behavioral Analysis (Ph.D.), and Social and Organizational Behavior (Ph.D.). I have acquired multiple certifications to expand my ability to meet client needs:

  • Addiction counseling (CADC II, ICADC, and ECADC)

  • Certified Brainspotting Practitioner

  • Certified Forward-Facing Health and Wellness Coach

  • Children and Adolescent Trauma Professional (CATP)

  • Clinically Certified Trauma Professional (CCTP I)

  • Board Certified Christian Counselor (BCCC)

  • Board Certified Pastoral Counselor (BCPC)

  • Clinically Certified Forensic Counselor (CCFC)

  • Substance Abuse Professional (an authorized evaluator and treatment  provider the US DOT)

  • T-group facilitation and the management of social change

  •   Spiral Dynamics Level 2 certified -SD is used in organizations and communities to uncover the hidden codes that shape the many worlds of individuals and provides tools for synchronizing the core intelligence and deep values that flow beneath what we believe and do.

I enjoy seeing people taking control of their lives, and living with integrity. I am a lifelong learner and will continue to improve my skills to better serve my fellow humans.
